Book Souq Marketplace & Delivery Platform
Book Souq is a UAE-based digital marketplace developed for bookstores, readers, and trading enthusiasts to buy, sell, and exchange books across a distributed retail environment. The solution enables users to browse inventory from multiple outlets, place orders, and receive home deliveries while also supporting peer-to-peer resale. The objective was to create an ecosystem that digitizes book commerce, enhances community engagement, and centralizes fulfillment workflows within a unified platform.
Zaryans Consulting designed and delivered a bespoke software system consisting of a marketplace website, mobile applications, and backend management panels. The solution allowed retailers to publish catalogs, manage orders, and coordinate deliveries, while customers could buy new or used books directly from listings. With a scalable architecture and clean user experience, Book Souq successfully digitized a traditionally offline industry segment and enabled sellers to access broader demand through e-commerce channels.
All these diverse business verticals required seamless integration and centralized control from the head office. Although a leading Odoo partner had been engaged for over a year, the implementation failed to deliver the required outcomes.Zaryans Consulting took over the project and initiated a comprehensive GAP Analysis to identify shortcomings in the existing implementation. Based on this assessment, a strategic and phased roadmap was proposed to resume and successfully complete the ERP implementation, aligning it with Telecom Foundation’s operational complexity and governance needs.
